Apartments

How are apartments furnished?
Apartments are furnished in classic Tuscan style.

How are apartments equipped?
Apartments are fully fitted out for a comfortable holiday (linen, kitchen appliances and dinner and cutlery services, irons…).

Are there terraces or courtyards for each apartment?
Each apartment (including ground floor apartments) has an area in the cottages' garden with an umbrella, table and garden chairs.

Is it possible to make special requests for apartments?
The most shall be done to satisfy customers' requests for apartments.

Are there double bedrooms?
Yes, every apartment has at least one double bedroom.

Are rooms equipped with beds for children?
Yes, cots are available (up to approximately four years) and can be paid a weekly rate of Euro 30 then and there.

Is linen provided?
Yes, a complete set of bed, kitchen and bathroom linen is supplied with a weekly change and included in the price.

Check-in and check-out time?
Check-in: Saturday from 14:00h to 20:00
Checkout: Saturday by 9:00h.

Are animals allowed?
Yes, animals are permitted paying a weekly rate ( Euro 16 for week).

Services

Are there swimming pools?
Yes, there is a beautiful 15x8 metre pool shrouded in greenery with a scenic view over the surrounding hills, diving trampoline, hot water shower and numerous umbrellas and deck chairs.

Is there a car park? Yes, the estate is equipped with a large car park.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel? No. However, there are restaurants at fixed rates nearby where local cuisine can be tasted.

Prices

Are prices per person or per apartment?
All prices supplied are per apartment per week (Saturday-Saturday). Prices include the use of the apartment for the maximum number of beds indicated.
A cot ( Euro 30 for week ) or an additional adult's bed ( Euro 50 for week ) can be fitted into each apartment.

Is consumption included in the price?
Yes, all consumption is included in the price (light, water, household gas and/or heating).

What is not included in the price?
The following are not included and have to be paid then and there: a weekly rate for pets (Euro 16 for week), cots (at an extra cost of Euro 30 for week) and adults beds (at an extra cost of euro 50 for week).

Places

Apart from towns of major artistic interest, there are tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity ?

The neighbourhood also features interesting hamlets such as:

Corazzano ( 500 metri): San Giovanni parish located on a nearby rise to the left, built-up during the 18th-19th centuries near the Frankish road, dates back to the 12th century.

Certaldo (km 15): a Medieval hamlet with Boccaccio's house and the town hall.

Castelfiorentino (km 10): the Picture Gallery, the church of St. Francis (12th century); S.Ippolito parish (10th century); the church of S. Verdiana (17th century).

S.Vivaldo (km. 15): Convent of S.Vivaldo (15th century); Roman cistern (1st century A.D.).

San Miniato (km 10): historic city whose attractions are S.Domenico in Piazza del Popolo (1330), its Cathedral and Barbarossa Tower where Pier delle Vigne committed suicide (1249).

Montespertoli (km 20): with Poppiano and Montegufoni castles nearby. It is worth visiting the close-by Medieval hamlet of Lucardo.

Empoli (km 25): Collegiate of S.Andrea (5th- 10th centuries); Collegiate Museum with 14th-16th century works of art.

Vinci (km 30): Museum and the house where Leonardo.

Cigoli (15 km): century-old castle formerly "Castrum de Ceulis" near which the church of Sant'Andrea a Bacoli, which figured in the 1149 Celestine stamp, was built.

Where is the nearest railway station?
In Castelfiorentino (10 Km) .

Where is the nearest airport?
The closest airports are Galileo Galilei in Pisa and Amerigo Vespucci in Florence (both approximately 50 km away).

Where is the nearest hospital?
The closest hospital is in Castelfiorentino (10 Km.).

Are there stores in the vicinity?
The house is situated in the countryside. The nearest hamlet (Corazzano) can also be reached on foot along a path and has grocery stores. In the nearby towns of Montaione (10 km), San Miniato (10 km) and Castelfiorentino (10 km) there are all types of stores.

Are there vineyards in the neighbourhood?
Yes, wine can be tasted on the farm estate.

Are there nature paths in the vicinity?
Yes, the house is located in a nature-hunting reserve of approximately 100 hectares, full of woodland paths where local fauna can easily be spotted (pheasant, hares, squirrels, turtle doves…).
